Succulants rule!

Rain persisted almost all day as we drove to Orbost, stopping for breakfast in Cooma, morning tea in Cathcart with Ros'cousin and lunch at Cann River. We are staying with Ray and Norma and arrived early enough to tour the garden.

After moving in from their farm to the township Ray and Norma have worked hard to establish a beautiful garden, rich with vegetable beds, fruit trees, roses, natives and particularly succulents.  Norma has used these forgiving and prolific plants to great advantage in pots and directly into the garden - in two years they have multiplied and filled empty spaces beautifully. Succulants have been a life time passion for Norma. Ray's fruit trees including peaches, apricots, nectarines, a peacherine, figs, lemons and a lemonade tree sit next to beds of tomatoes, spinach, beans and kale to mention a few. This immaculate and substanial garden is a downsizing from the previous garden - what an achievement!
